Wine is a noble, elegant and healthy beverage, which is popular all over the world. So far, it is not known exactly when people began to engage themselves in winemaking. But according to ancient Persian legend this miracle drink was discovered by accident.

Long ago the Persian King Jamshid  resting in the shade of his tent watched the training of archers. Suddenly he heard a noise of the fight between a snake and a bird. The bird had been already suffocating in the jaws of a huge snake and was close to its death. The king ordered his archers to kill the snake. The bird freed from the jaws of a dead snake, flew to the feet of the king and  dropped in front of him from its beak a few grains as a sign of  gratitude, which soon sprouted. Vines grew from those seeds, which gave a lot of berries. King Jamshid was very fond of the juice of those berries. Once the king was brought some sour juice. Jamsheed became angry and ordered to carry it away. Servants hid juice and soon forgot about it.
It took several months. And suddenly one of the favorites of the king, a slave of an incredible beauty got sick. She had unbearable headaches and she wanted better to die. Slave knew about hidden container with sour grape juice. She decided that the drink had become a poison and emptied the vessel to the bottom hoping to die. She did not die  but fell unconscious and slept for several days. When she woke up she felt cheerful and healthy. The news of the miraculous healing drink spread throughout the country. The King was very happy. He acknowledged the miracle drink wine and proclaimed it «royal medicine».

Since then our ancestors noticed that «the wine has properties to reduce the heavy burden of old age, to return the liveliness of early years, to dispel sorrow, to soften manners and give the body dexterity and mobility».
